In European museums and estates, the curator of a private collection is not called a warden, not a manager, not a service, but a custodian. The word contains what we do.
Our clients are families who own a home on the Kvarner Bay, but do not permanently live there. Their lives unfold in Munich, Vienna, Milan, Paris. The villa in Opatija, the apartment in Rijeka or Rovinj, the island house on Krk: these are posession, memory, investment. For six, perhaps eight weeks a year the house is inhabited by our clients. For the rest of the year, someone must allow it to continue though it were. And for your stay, we will make it as much convenient as a five-star hotel.
This is not only a concierge task, a concierge responds to requests. A custodian
acts in the absence of requests. They open the windows before muld has a chance. They see the crack in the façade before it becomes a construction project. They know every craftsman in the region, and they know which one they will not call.
We begin as custodian, and become your concierge the moment you arrive. Both in
a single mandate, for the same family, twelve months of the year.
